The Tundra Double Cab has very limited under-seat height. This sealed design provides tight, accurate bass that fits the cabin’s acoustics perfectly. A ported box would be too large for this area, sacrificing air space and mounting depth.
The automotive-grade carpet is tough, but liquids can soak into the 3/4" MDF and cause swelling. Clean spills immediately. To protect the wood from floor moisture, consider applying NVX Sound Dampening to the truck floor first.
You will lose the storage space directly under the rear seat, but the seats will still fold and latch as intended. To avoid pinching wires during seat movement, we recommend using flexible NVX 100% Pure Copper (OFC) speaker wire.
Yes, adding polyfill can help the dual 12s perform as if they were in a larger box, deepening the bass extension. Keep it clear of the subwoofers' moving parts to prevent damage.
The enclosure is built from dense 3/4" MDF to handle high-output bass. To prevent the truck’s metal floor from rattling against the box, apply an NVX SDRLR1 Sound Dampening kit to the mounting area for a rattle-free experience.
Yes, the VE-TOY-TUNDCG2-D12S is the unloaded version. It has the same custom-fit dimensions and 4.5" mounting depth, allowing you to install your own shallow-mount 12" drivers like the NVX V-Series subwoofers.
