The wire is much thicker than my other 16-gauge cables. How do I fit it into my amp terminals?

Because this is "True Spec" wire, it has more copper than cheap brands. If it’s too thick for your amp's terminals, use 16-gauge wire ferrules or spade connectors. This keeps the strands compressed and ensures a safe, professional fit.

I see silver strands; did I accidentally get Aluminum (CCA) wire instead of Copper?

No, this is 100% Oxygen-Free Copper. The silver color comes from the tin coating, which prevents the copper from oxidizing (turning green) in humid environments. It provides the performance of copper with the durability of marine-grade wire.

I’m having trouble splitting the two wires apart. How can I do this without exposing the copper?

Use a pair of side cutters to make a small, 1/4" vertical snip exactly in the center "valley" between the blue and gray jackets. Once started, you can easily pull the two sides apart by hand without damaging the inner insulation.

My speakers aren't working even though the wire is connected. What should I check?

Ensure you didn't strip too little insulation. The high strand count (111 strands) can sometimes "mushroom" out. Make sure all strands are inside the terminal; one stray wire touching the metal chassis or another terminal will trigger "Protect Mode."

How do I maintain a clean signal over a long 50ft run?

To solve potential noise issues over long distances, utilize the twisted-pair design of this cable. Keep the wires twisted together as long as possible before they reach the speaker. This cancels out electromagnetic interference from car's electronics.

Great Wire

I've used this wire in the past and it is excellent. It's labeled as 16 gauge but good luck fitting it into an 16 gauge connector. The wire is way more like a 14 gauge or bigger! They definitely give you your moneys worth!

TRU TOO IT

I say tru too it because of the looks and the quality it seems to be,right now I'm running the StreetWires 18ga wire for my dash&rear speakers and it seems to be fine but I'm upgrade and install this NVX 16ga wire,expecting better results and I'm wondering why NVX doesn't make 18ga wire but anyway its NVX 16ga wire or larger for my inside speakers...Go For A 50' Roll,you'll be Happy I'm SURE!!!

This is true 16 gauge wire and is super flexible. NVX's wires are also way thicker than the competition. 50 ft was just enough to completely rewire my car.
