The Kicker 48TRTP122 is a 12" thin-profile, down-firing loaded enclosure designed to solve the age-old problem of wanting a full-sized 12" subwoofer without losing your entire trunk or cargo space. It is arguably one of the most durable "hidden" bass solutions on the market, as the downward-firing design allows you to stack groceries, luggage, or tools directly on top of the enclosure without damaging the speaker.
It uses a unique active/passive dual-driver system: one high-output CompRT thin subwoofer and one reFLEX™ passive radiator. This combination allows a shallow, sealed box to move as much air as a much larger ported enclosure, delivering deep, low-frequency extension without the "chuffing" noise of a port.
